Commissions

I am available for landscape commissions, either as monotype prints or acrylic paintings.

For landscape commissions, ideally I would visit the place and experience the light conditions and weather first hand.

This is important to me as my work is largely inspired by a sensory connection to a place. Generally, this limits the places I can depict to places in easy reach of London and Kent, but I can be flexible.

Click on 'Contact' at the bottom of the page to get in touch, I would love to hear from you.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?

Here are the steps to commissioning me:

  1. Email [email protected] providing details of the size, budget, timescales and the landscape or place you have in mind for your commission. If you have a particular colour palette you would like, let me know so I can consider how to incorporate it.
  2. I will provide a quote and once the price is agreed, I will invoice 50% upfront so I can start work.
  3. I visit the location, take photos and make 'plein air' sketches on site and use them as a basis for the print or painting that I make back in the studio.
  4. I create the painting/ print, package it up and send to you with a Certificate of Authenticity.
  5. When you agree you are happy with the piece, I will send you the final 50% invoice to be paid.

PRINTMAKING COMMISSIONS:

Monotypes are one off prints created by painting on or inking up a plate and removing areas of ink to create a temporary image. The plate is then pressed onto paper and run through a press to create a unique print that cannot be replicated.

My monotype commissions on fine art paper available in A4 (21cm x 29.7cm), A3 (29.7cm x 42cm) and A2 sizes (42cm x 59.4cm). This can be a more affordable approach for commissions - if your budget is limited.

PAINTING COMMISSIONS:

My acrylic paintings are on timber panels, and I work with layers and glazes to build up semi - abstract and figurative landscapes.

Painted commissions are available in 15x15cm, 30x30cm or 50x50cm size timber panels, although larger sizes are also possible.

I paint my acrylic paintings on cradled wooden panels with a smooth, high-quality birch wood surface.

To ensure vibrancy and longevity I coat each panel in several layers of size and gesso before I begin painting and varnish with a high quality matte varnish once completed.

Prices available on request, including framing if required.
